The reason most people come is Victoria Falls — Mosi-oa-Tunya, "the Smoke that Thunders" — one of the largest waterfalls on earth and a UNESCO World Heritage Site straddling the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Zimbabwean side offers the broadest panoramic views along a series of viewpoints through the rainforest opposite the falls, while the Zambian side allows closer, more intimate vantage points when water levels allow.
